introduce
The West Lake is undoubtedly the representative of the beauty of Hangzhou. The famous "Ten Scenes of the West Lake" surrounds the lake, and nature and humanity set off each other, forming the core area of Hangzhou travel. You don't have to be obsessed with visiting every scenic spot, but you can spend half a day or a day wandering around the lake. No matter how you play, it makes people feel comfortable.
Overview of west lake
You can walk, take a cruise, take a battery car, drive or ride the West Lake. Among them, the battery car is convenient and labor-saving, and there is a stop-and-go tour bus around the West Lake, and the line just goes around the West Lake; Riding along the lake is romantic and leisurely, and there are many places to rent public bicycles along the West Lake. If you want to go sightseeing by boat, there are nearly 10 docks by the lake, and there are all kinds of boats and routes. It is recommended to take a boat to San Tan Yin Yue in the center of the lake and enjoy the scenery of the West Lake by the way. Or recruit a boatman to row by the lake, and the boatman will take you to swim around the lake, which is more free.
Northbound scenery
There are many scenic spots on the north shore of the West Lake, usually starting from the broken bridge in the northeast corner and going all the way west to Yuewang Temple. You can walk all the way along Bai Causeway to Gushan, see cultural attractions such as Xiling Printing House, Zhejiang Museum, China Printing Museum and Fanghe Pavilion, eat authentic West Lake vinegar fish outside the building, and get off the island from Xiling Bridge, not far from Yuewang Temple and Quyuan Fenghe.
If it's summer with strong sun exposure, it's recommended to walk along Beishan Road, hiding in the dense shade to see the curve of the broken bridge and swaying weeping willows on the opposite side of Bai Causeway. There are many entrances leading to Baoshi Mountain along the road, so you can climb the mountain to see the scenery, and then you can go down to Yuewang Temple. There are many small shops in Yuewang Square to eat, and the impression of the West Lake performance here at night is also worth seeing. If you are full of time and energy, you can also go to Su Causeway from here and enjoy the panoramic view of the West Lake on foot.
